Lou, a middle aged bookkeeper who supported Trump and is pleased he was elected, hates his job and his life and decides to leave the Northeast behind, including his wife and two adult daughters and head south to create a new life in Florida's DeSantis land. While attempting to ask an old girlfriend, Jay who also supported Trump, to flee with him, his wife did not, the two are carjacked by Thomas, an alien who unbeknownst to Lou and Jay has been forced to leave his home planet that is now controlled by the machines that he and his people created. After traveling millions of miles they are seeking asylum on earth. Their journey south takes them not just to NASA but also to the jungles of Peru and finally to the Bermuda triangle.
